Textorum.io is built around a simple idea: your text belongs to you. This page explains, in plain language, what happens when you use the app and what limited data is processed in the background.
Local text processing
All text you type, paste or upload is processed entirely inside your browser. Word counting, readability scoring, keyword analysis and writing insights are computed locally on your device.
No text storage on our servers
We do not transmit, store or have access to the content of your text. An optional autosave feature stores your most recent draft in your browser’s localStorage so it is restored when you return. You can clear it anytime by clearing the input or your browser data.
Hosting and server logs
The website itself is delivered by a hosting provider. As is standard for any website on the internet, the provider may temporarily process connection metadata (such as IP address, browser user agent, requested URL and timestamp) for security and reliability.

Cookies and tracking
Textorum.io does not set marketing or tracking cookies and does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or other ad trackers. Only strictly functional browser storage is used (theme preference, language, autosaved draft).
Optional analytics
Textorum.io plans to integrate Plausible Analytics — a privacy-friendly, cookie-free service that collects only aggregated, anonymous usage statistics. Currently, no tracking or analytics is active on Textorum.io.
Subscriptions & payments (Textorum Pro)
If you subscribe to Textorum Pro, payment processing is handled by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Ireland). When you start a checkout we send your account email, the selected plan, and your billing/VAT details (entered on Stripe's checkout page) to Stripe so they can charge your card, calculate EU VAT, and issue an invoice. Stripe acts as an independent controller for fraud prevention and as our processor for billing.
For each active subscription we store on our own servers: your user ID, the Stripe customer/subscription IDs, the plan, the current billing period, your B2B confirmation (date and that you confirmed purchasing as a business under §14 BGB), and monthly usage counters for AI features (rewrites and metadata actions). We do not store your card number, CVC, or full billing address — those remain with Stripe.
Textorum Pro is sold strictly to business customers (B2B, Unternehmer gemäß §14 BGB). The 14-day consumer right of withdrawal therefore does not apply. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the customer portal; access remains until the end of the paid billing period.
Stripe may process data outside the EU. Stripe relies on EU Standard Contractual Clauses for any such transfer. Read Stripe's privacy policy for full details.
Your GDPR rights
If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to object. Since Textorum.io does not require an account and does not store your text, most of these rights apply to limited hosting metadata only. You may contact us anytime to exercise them.
